WESTERN AVENUE vied between rivals briefly then dueled from outside up the backstretch, fought head to head through the turn, inched ahead in upper stretch and held gamely over MONEY MAKES MONEY to the wire. MONEY MAKES MONEY vied inside a pair of rivals then dueled inside WESTERN AVENUE up the backstretch, continued on even terms around the bend, battled along the rail through the length of the stretch and came up a bit short end. RUNNING SPARTAN stalked off the rail then dove down to the inside, saved ground through the turn, tipped out and roused at the top of the lane, finished well outside the top pair but could not find the needed late kick in the closing moments. HURRICANE WAY trailed early then went inside rivals leaving the backstretch, angled out to the four path at the five-sixteenths pole, finished with late run and rounded out the superfecta. BRAVE BLEND raced in range off the rail, drew closer three deep around the bend and could not summon the needed response in the furlong grounds. CONCORD BRIDGE unhurried from inside, hugged the rail to the stretch, remained along the fence in the lane and failed to threaten. FINAL EDITION (IRE) traveled three deep near the back then trailed outside a rival in the early stages, had to check behind SANTARENA approaching the five-sixteenths pole, moved to the inside, tipped out into the lane and improved position. CALL SIGN SEVEN angled over to the two path while chasing from off the pace, spun three wide into the lane and failed to menace. SANTARENA raced three deep in the second flight into the turn, chased four deep at the quarter pole and could not make an impact. IRISH ROSE raced outside rivals near the back, took the turn four then five wide and failed to get involved. MARDY'S FISH showed early speed then ceded command to inner rival and took a stalking position outside RUNNING SPARTAN, chased between rivals into the turn, remained in the two path to the stretch and faded.
