Footnotes
MANITOWISH chased under coaxing from off the pace, angled in on the turn, came back out late on the bend, closed in and inhaled the top pair entering the final sixteenth and drove clear. FORT BRAGG vied four deep up the backstretch, chased four then three wide around the bend, came back on in the furlong grounds, could not match the rally from MANITOWISH late but was able to regain second. ROLL ON BIG JOE fought inside a trio of rivals for command then took control at the nine-sixteenths pole, cleared with three furlongs remaining, led a bit off the rail into the drive, continued clear to midstretch, then was collared by MANITOWISH at the sixteenth pole, relinquished the lead shortly after and was overtaken by FORT BRAGG for second. MBAGNICK (CHI) vied three deep between rivals to the turn, chased the leader three then two wide still between runners around the bend, then weakened down the lane. MOOSE MITCHELL showed good early foot to contest the pace between rivals, gave chase two wide then along the rail around the bend and faded in the drive. OVIATT CLASS bobbled leaving the gate, trailed well off the rail, angled from the four path to the two path around the turn and was never a factor.
