Footnotes
PROVEN INNOCENT tracked the front from the tail of the field early on just off the inside, altered out around a fallen rival at fence five and jumped well to maintain position, tipped three wide through the fourth turn and then went three to four wide down the backstretch the final time, cleared the final flight and chased three wide through the final turn rallying to stack outside the top pair a furlong from home, dug in wearing down that pair and seized command in the final jumps to the finish to prevail. EVIE'S PRINCE settled just off the inside in pursuit from mid pack, advanced to be just off the pace when jumping well to hold position and altered out at fence five, rallied between foes in the flat digging in to take command a sixteenth from home, then got caught in the final jumps to the wire. AWAKENED tracked the pace along the inside, got bumped just after clearing fence two by AUCTION KINGDOM and jostled with that foe when nearly forced inside the dogs save for a heavy lean back on that rival nearing flight three, cleared that fence and then separated from their kerfuffle into the second turn, tracked along the inside advancing once over the final flight to take command midway on the far and last turn, dug in under threat from a pair and relented a sixteenth from home, kept on well clear of the rest to secure the show honors. SULTAN PIERJI (FR) saved ground just off the pace tracking the front among the leaders of the main flight in behind the isolated top pair, jumped well to maintain position, altered out at fence five around a fallen rival, came under coaxing once in the flat and tired. LITTLE TRILBY (GB) tracked the leader in closest aim just off the inside isolated between that rival and the main flight in behind, jumped late at fence one, inherited the lead and altered out at fence five when the leader fell, jumped late at fence seven and then early at the final flight, came under urging and yielded midway on the last turn and tired. AUCTION KINGDOM tracked just off the inside, bumped AWAKENED just after fence two and then jostled with that rival nearly placing him inside the dogs but was leaned on just outside fence three, tracked along the inside, came under urging in the flat, faltered and was eased home to the finish. CARLOUN (IRE) spurted away on the lead keenly opening up a commanding margin, jumped well until jumping late at fence five and fell when landing on that jump forcing a quartet of rivals to alter out, ran off sans rider and was apprehended by outrider and transported off the course via equine ambulance. Please note the final time was hand timed.
