BELLACOSE broke in at the start and on top, showed the way in hand three then two wide through swift splits coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths when under challenge from GEOPOLITICS to the outside, swung four wide into upper stretch and shook off that danger confronted by the runner up, dug in and held safe rebuffing the threat to the finish kept to task. MUNNINGS EXPRESS got bumped at the start by M J'S YOSHIDA, who recovered inwards from a stumble, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking to the inside half a mile from home, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and was set down spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in issuing a challenge through the final furlong but was ultimately repelled to the wire. GEOPOLITICS struck the near side stall at the start, chased four then three wide advancing on the leader to apply pressure midway on the turn, came under a ride nearing the quarter pole, angled five to six wide into upper stretch, got shaken off near the eighth pole and kept on to preserve the show honors. M J'S YOSHIDA stumbled at the break and recovered inwards bumping MUNNINGS EXPRESS, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn coaxed along from the five-sixteenths, continued three wide for home, weakened in the stretch. SASSY SHENANIGANS broke in at the start, chased two to three wide until tucked inside into the turn, came under urging at the three-eighths marker, swung three to four wide into upper stretch and tired. PRINCESS MISCHIEF shied in at the start in reaction to BELLACOSE breaking inwards and ended up being briefly taken in hand behind M J'S YOSHIDA, chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn, went six wide into upper stretch, got placed to a protective hold when losing action just outside the sixteenth pole, then got expertly pulled up prior to the finish and was vetted and transported off the course via equine ambulance.
