Footnotes
LA CARA coaxed from the gate to establish the front just off the break, showed the way in hand just off the inside settling into a comfortably rhythm through moderate splits down the backstretch, remained on hold and patiently handled just off the inside through the far turn until placed to coaxing just outside the quarter pole, swung four wide into upper stretch let out for the drive, drifted out two paths straightened away and edged clear under a drive to the eighth pole, then held clear kept to task to the finish. LOOK FORWARD coaxed from the start, raced three wide through the first turn, settled three wide in pursuit in closest aim of the leader, came under encouragement three furlongs from home, angled out six wide into upper stretch and ran on to chase the winner home and secure the place honors. SCOTTISH LASSIE broke on top and settled forwardly placed along the inside through the first turn before tipping two to three wide down the backstretch, came under urging near the three-eighths marker and tipped out four wide sliding in front of QUICKICK and forcing GOOD CHEER to the five path briefly at that station, advanced and went seven wide at the head of the stretch, kept on under a drive to be along clear for the show honors. BLESS THE BROKEN just off the inside through the opening bend, chased three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch, then tucked inside into the far turn and came under encouragement with seven-sixteenths remaining, tipped four wide at the quarter pole, weakened in the stretch. GOOD CHEER brushed the off side stall at the start, raced two then three wide through the first turn before tipping four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked four wide into the far turn and came under urging near the three-eighths pole and was floated out briefly five wide at that juncture, tipped five to six wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. QUICKICK four then three wide through the first turn, chased four wide coming under a ride with seven-sixteenths to run, angle six to seven wide at the top of the lane and tired.
