Footnotes
VEHEMENTE stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the three path on the turn, took the lead near the quarter-pole, battled inside of the runner-up under a left-handed crop while remaining on her inside lead in upper stretch, was pulled in by the rider to elicit a lead change near the furlong marker but failed to make the switch, shook clear while remaining on her left lead and pulled in again by the jockey inside the sixteenth-pole and proved best under strong handling. ARMY GAL brushed with a rival at the start, tracked the pace on the inside of a rival, was asked late on the backstretch, chased inside on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, made a bid while coming out to the five path into upper stretch, battled outside of the winner under a drive into the final sixteenth then proved no match while clear for the place. EMBRACEABLE GAL was fractious in the post parade and unseated the rider but was held onto before getting the rider re-mounted, raced near the back under urging, went around the turn in the three then two path, swung out to the five path into the stretch and improved to get the show. SHORT SHIFT was hustled to the front then showed the way, vied in the two path on the turn, was asked outside the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to the winner at the top of the stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. JACKSON'S DIXIE settled off the pace, was urged along late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the two then three path and lacked the needed response. NOLITA broke out and hit the gate, raced near the rear on the inside of a rival, saved ground for most of the turn then shifted to the three path and was no factor. KRYSTALHEIR brushed with a rival at the start, settled off the pace, was urged along in the three to four path on the turn and failed to respond. CLOVER STREET settled on the far outside, was urged along in the five path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the six path and failed to threaten. ECHO IN ETERNITY settled off the pace, moved out near the five-eighths pole, was asked in the four path on the turn, dropped back in the five path into the stretch and faltered.
