By subscription of $300 each which should accompany the nomination. $1,500 to pass the entry box and an additional $1,500 to start. For horses not originally nominated, a supplemental payment of $1,500 in addition to the entry and starting fees may be made at any time prior to the closing of entries. The purse to be divided as follows: $165,000 to the owner of the winner, $60,000 to second, $36,000 to third, $18,000 to fourth, $12,000 to fifth and $9,000 divided equally amongst the remaining finishers. Weight 124 lbs. Non-winners of a Graded Sweepstakes in 2024-25 allowed 2 lbs.; of a Sweepstakes in 2025 allowed 4 lbs.; of two race s other than maiden, claiming, starter or state-bred allowance in 2025 allowed 6 lbs. WAYS AND MEANS stalked the pace on the outside of the leader, vied in the three path on the turn, was asked coming to the quarter-pole, took over into upper stretch, drifted in while kicking clear at the three-sixteenths pole, extended the advantage into the final furlong, was put to one light tap of a right-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole then powered away under a solid hand-ride to the finish. SCYLLA bumped with a rival at the start, was rated off the pace, moved closer with five furlongs to run, dropped from the two path to the rail on the turn, bumped with IRISH MAXIMA while squeezing through to make a rail bid coming to the quarter-pole, moved out while losing touch with the winner around the three-sixteenths pole and proved no match while well clear for the place. JODY'S PRIDE settled off the pace, was roused in the three path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and narrowly earned the show while no match for the top two. MISS JUSTIFY tracked the pace on the inside of a rival, chased in the four path through the turn and tired then just missed the show. IRISH MAXIMA bumped with a rival at the start, moved up to get the lead then set the pace, vied in the two path while asked on the turn, bumped with a rival coming to the quarter-pole then lost the advantage to the winner and gave way. JUSTIQUE settled well behind the rest of the field, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, turned into the stretch in the four path then moved further out and failed to threaten. ST. BENEDICTS PREP was hustled from the gate then taken in hand and rated on the outside, came under encouragement leaving the backstretch, dropped from the four path to the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path and faltered.
