Footnotes
CARMEN'S CANDY JAR raced inside for most of the first turn then moved to the two path, followed the solo leader down the backstretch, stalked in the two path on the far turn, ranged up to take the lead in the three path at the three-sixteenths pole then was set down, kicked clear near the furlong marker, drew off under a solid hand-ride into the final sixteenth, swapped back to her inside lead late and proved much the best. CHASING DAYLIGHT was hustled to the front, rounded the first turn in the two path, showed the way with a clear advantage, raced inside on the far turn, was asked under threat outside the quarter-pole, spun off the inside into upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner near the three-sixteenths pole and proved no match while able to get the place. HONORABLE BECKY stumbled at the start, angled in early, raced inside to the two path on the first turn, was rated off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, was roused inside the five-sixteenths pole, swung out to the four path into the stretch and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. BOOK OF WISDOM went around the first turn in the four path, settled on the outside, was asked in the three path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the five path and came up empty. DUCKPHAT angled in early, raced in the three path on the first turn, settled at the back, dropped from the four path to the two path under urging on the far turn and failed to respond. ISLAND FOX stumbled at the start and was last away, saved ground on the first turn, was reserved off the pace, dropped from the two path to the rail early on the far turn, saved ground from that point into the stretch and also failed to respond.
