BOSUN chased three then two wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, went six wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive outside the top pair a furlong out, then surged home late taking command a sixteenth out before edging clear to the wire. COURTLY BANKER broke out at the start bumping and placing NOT FOR HIRE in tight against ON THE LEDGE, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a furlong out, dug in under threat and was caught a sixteenth from home, ran on to preserve the place honors. ON THE LEDGE brushed the near side stall at the start, then got brushed by NOT FOR HIRE due to pressure from COURTLY BANKER, chased three then two wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths, angled six wide into upper stretch, took narrow and brief command with three-sixteenths to go, got collared soon after and weakened in the late stages while along clear for the show honors. NOT FOR HIRE got bumped at the start by COURTLY BANKER and was placed in tight between foes briefly, chased just off the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, went nine wide into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. STORMY BIRTHDAY got bumped at the start by IDENTITY CRISIS, who recovered outwards from a stumble, chased four then three wide under urging from the five-sixteenths, went seven wide into upper stretch, weakened. MAYBERN chased four wide under encouragement from the five-sixteenths, angled out nine to ten wide into upper stretch, made no impact. IDENTITY CRISIS stumbled at the start recovering outwards and bumping STORMY BIRTHDAY, chased four then three wide in closest aim of the leader taking over command with five-sixteenths to go, swung four wide into upper stretch under threat, relented at the three-sixteenths and tired. DANCING BEAR coaxed from the gate, showed the way lightly coaxed along the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coming under challenge midway, yielded the front with five-sixteenths remaining, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and faltered in the final furlong.
