Footnotes
RHETORICAL brushed the off side stall at the start, pulled a bit eager early on and came under a hard hold attending the leader two to three wide through the first turn, settled tracking the front three then two wide in closest aim, got given a notch to work with into the far turn and advanced steadily applying pressure through the bend until given his cue swinging three then two wide into upper stretch, quickly took over and edged clear under a drive to inside the eighth pole, then got geared down in the late stages to the finish. ACTIVIST INVESTING (GB) devoid of speed, grew detached at the tail of the field briefly and took the inside route through the first turn before settling at the rear just off the inside into the backstretch, tucked back inside into the far turn and came under coaxing with five-sixteenths to go, spun three wide into upper stretch, followed OH REALLY until tipping out a path near the sixteenth marker and kicked on belatedly to just best that rival for the place honors in the final jumps. OH REALLY tracked the from just off the inside and then along the inside coming under urging near the quarter pole, angled four then three wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick and was just collared in the final strides for the place honors while safe for the show. DAUNT coaxed from the start, raced along the inside through the first turn, then chased three then two wide coming under encouragement near the five-sixteenths, angled out five to six wide at the top of the stretch, kept on to the finish. UNION TRAIL a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, established the front just after the break and showed the way rated along the inside patiently handled until under challenge near the five-sixteenths, came under encouragement at that station, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and was overhauled by the top one straightened away, then weakened in the final furlong. CLEAR CONSCIENCE coaxed from the gate, raced just off the inside through the first turn, chased three to four wide down the backstretch before heading three wide through the far turn getting ridden along nearing the quarter pole, tipped five then four wide at that station and into upper stretch and weakened in the drive.
