EMPHASIS broke in at the start bumping STRADALE solidly into HONEY'S TO BLAME against pressure inside from HANDSOME LINC, established the front and showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths under pressure, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under a drive turning back the challenge of HANDSOME LINC to inch away to the finish kept to task. GROWTH EQUITY broke out at the start and was corrected, chased four then three wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths marker, cornered three to four wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive loosely between foes and was forced to pause near the sixteenth pole when HANDSOME LINC came out under active reins in the midst of weakening, then split those rivals coming on through to secure the place honors with a mild kick. STRADALE got bumped solidly at the start when EMPHASIS broke inwards and got squeezed out bumping HONEY'S TO BLAME solidly as HANDSOME LINC came outwards from the inside, clipped the back of either that rival or EMPHASIS and bobbled heavily, then came outwards and make some contact with FRANKLIN DELANO, conceded five to six lengths to the front before racing just off the inside unsettled facing kickback while under some restraint, tipped three wide through the turn and settled making some headway before coming under light coaxing just outside the quarter pole, angled five wide into upper stretch, rallied into prominence coming in a furlong out, paused when placing the aforementioned foe in tight between rivals in concert with HANDSOME LINC, the rider looking back just outside the sixteenth pole, then continued on with good courage under very light handling to secure the show honors. HANDSOME LINC broke out at the start squeezing out a pair of rivals in tandem with EMPHASIS, chased inside briefly before tipping out three wide, prompted the leader from the outside three then two wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive, came under crossed rein encouragement just outside the sixteenth marker and drifted out when weakening forcing both GROWTH EQUITY and STRADALE, who came in slightly, to pause briefly at that station, then continued to back away in the late stages. S S QUALITY three then two wide in pursuit, got ridden along with five-sixteenths to run, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch, weakened. DAY ONE STARTER broke in at the start and was corrected, chased along the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, continued in the inside route into upper stretch and weakened. HONEY'S TO BLAME got bumped solidly at the start by STRADALE due to pressure from EMPHASIS coming inwards, then lost his lane to HANDSOME LINC, who came outwards and was pinched lightly out conceding three to four lengths to the front before settling into stride, grew rank and fought the rider briefly along the inside before heading into the turn, came under coaxing near the five-sixteenths, angled four wide for home, shied out under a left handed crop three paths straightened away before being corrected and offered no bid. FRANKLIN DELANO shied in at the start reacting to DAY ONE STARTER breaking inwards, then got bumped by STRADALE when that foe recovered from clipping heels and bobbling, and conceded five to six lengths to the front, chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn coming under encouragement at the three-eighths pole, spun three wide into upper stretch and tired.
