SPITFIRE settled in a good position down the backstretch, chased in the two path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path while moving closer to the pacesetter, rallied to the lead just inside the furlong marker, drifted in while moving clear under a left-handed crop approaching the sixteenth-pole then was placed under a hand-ride late while much the best. SALT PRINCESS was urged along off the pace, saved ground while dropping further behind the leader on the turn, spun into the stretch in the two path then moved further out around the three-sixteenths pole and finished with good energy to garner the place. SPARKLING MAMA was hustled from the gate, switched to the outside of the leader early then tracked the pace, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the three path on the turn, was asked coming to the quarter-pole, took a short lead into upper stretch, led under a drive into the final furlong then was headed by the winner and weakened then lost the place but was clear for the show. FONZI ANGEL was hustled from the gate then urged along on the outside, moved in late on the backstretch, dropped from the three path to the two path on the turn, shifted to the four path outside the quarter-pole, spun into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. COOLA BOOLA broke fast then was hustled hard and showed clear early, set the pace down the backstretch, vied inside while challenged on the turn, came under urging inside the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage while put to the crop into upper stretch, remained on her inside lead until outside the furlong marker, swapped to the proper lead while dropping back at that juncture and tired. BIRCH RUN was hustled from the gate then urged along off the pace, dropped from the four path to the three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path and failed to respond. MIA SOPHIA dropped back after the start then settled at the rear, dropped further back late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the four then three path and was outrun.
