CHANCER MCPATRICK settled comfortably on the inside, was asked to pick it up leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the far turn, was roused for more outside the quarter-pole, swung out to the four path into the stretch then was put to a left-handed crop, rallied under a left-handed crop while drifting well out in the track, made a bid while continuing to drift out some inside the furlong marker, was straightened by the rider at the sixteenth-pole, battled between horses while carried in and bumping with two foes late, swapped back to his inside lead in the process and narrowly prevailed. SO SANDY went around the first turn in the three path, tracked the pace on the outside, was urged along passing the half-mile pole, had STRATEGIC FOCUS pass him at the seven-sixteenths pole, was asked for more in the three then four path on the far turn, came under the crop outside the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch in the five path, was carried out while gaining outside of the winner inside the three-sixteenths pole, gained to make a bid while still being carried out some outside the sixteenth-pole, drifted in and bumped the winner late, grabbed a short lead at that point and swapped back to his inside lead then was denied while able to get the place. STRATEGIC FOCUS hit the inside of the gate at the start but broke with the field, moved from the two path to the three path early on the first turn, settled on the outside, advanced in the four path leaving the backstretch, made a bid in the three path outside the three-eighths pole, took the lead inside the three-sixteenths pole, was set down at the quarter-pole then moved clear in the two path into upper stretch, led under a drive to the sixteenth-pole, was headed while swapping back to his inside lead at that juncture, bumped with the winner late and missed while well clear for the show. CRUDO bumped lightly with a foe while breaking in front, went around the first turn in the two path, showed the way while well rated, was given his cue in the two path on the far turn, lost the advantage outside the quarter-pole, dropped back into upper stretch and tired. FOUNTAIN LAKE moved from the rail to the two path very early on the first turn, settled off the pace, was urged along passing the half-mile pole, moved from the two to three path while ridden along on the far turn, was put to the crop outside the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back in the six path into the stretch and came up empty. HYPNUS bumped lightly with a foe at the start, rounded the first turn in the three path, settled at the rear, was urged along late on the backstretch, dropped from the three path to the two path early on the far turn and failed to respond.
