SO SANDY went around the first turn in the three path, tracked the pace on the outside, was urged along passing the half-mile pole, had STRATEGIC FOCUS pass him at the seven-sixteenths pole, was asked for more in the three then four path on the far turn, came under the crop outside the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch in the five path, was carried out while gaining outside of the winner inside the three-sixteenths pole, gained to make a bid while still being carried out some outside the sixteenth-pole, drifted in and bumped the winner late, grabbed a short lead at that point and swapped back to his inside lead then was denied while able to get the place.
