HERO STATUS went around the first turn in the three path, raced just off the pace on the outside, made a bid at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the three path on the far turn, took the lead at the quarter-pole, dueled outside of the runner-up while put to a right-handed crop in upper stretch, was given a final pop of the crop at the sixteenth-pole, continued to fight outside the runner-up under a hand-ride to the finish and narrowly prevailed then was transported off the track via equine ambulance. STYNER played up in the paddock, was sent hard to the lead, showed the way on the inside, was asked on the far turn, lost the lead to the winner at the quarter-pole, dueled gamely inside that foe under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, was given one last pop of the crop at the eighth-pole, continued to fight determinedly inside the winner in the final furlong and just missed. PEEK rounded the first turn in the two path, tracked the pace on the backstretch, was urged along passing the nine-sixteenths pole, gained to make a brief bid at the seven-sixteenths pole, chased in the two path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path and weakened but was clear for the show. HE'S GOT THIS was hustled from the gate, raced inside to the two path on the first turn, settled off the rail on the backstretch, was roused in the two path on the far turn, swung out to the six path into the stretch, drifted further out under a left-handed crop around the three-sixteenths pole and failed to threaten. J J'S JOKER was rated towards the front on the inside, came under urging on the far turn, chased under a drive into the stretch and came up empty. CATCH THE SMOKE was hustled from the gate then dropped back, saved ground on the first turn, settled at the rear, was urged along while inside to the two path for most of the far turn, shifted to the three path late on that bend, dropped back to the two path into the stretch and was no factor. UNBRIDLED BOMBER bobbled just after the start, raced in the three path on the first turn, settled on the outside, was roused near the seven-sixteenths pole, went around the far turn in the four path under urging, spun into the stretch in the five path while taken in hand and was eased but walked off.
