HEDGE THE RISK raced just off the inside through the first turn, then tracked the front three then two wide down the backstretch settled near the rear of the field, got given a notch to work with into the far turn and was steadied briefly in traffic near the three-eighths pole, came under light coaxing near the quarter pole, continued in the two path into upper stretch, rallied with good energy to take command just outside the sixteenth pole, then edged away to the finish to score. SUSPICIOUSLY NAMED got bumped by MAJESTIC MICHAEL with eight and a half furlongs to run and in turn bumped CAPTCHA into MCHALE, vied with a quartet past the stands the first turn before emerging with sole command in the two path through the first turn, settled along the hedge into the backstretch and began to steadily widen away, opened up a commanding lead with five-sixteenths to go when put to coaxing, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was collared just outside the sixteenth marker, ran on to preserve the place honors on the wire. BATTLE DRUM (FR) got floated four wide into the first turn and tucked three wide through that bend, chased three then two wide coming under coaxing with five-sixteenths to run, continued three wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid a furlong out, kept on to procure the show honors. FATEFUL LIGHTNING broke a half a beat slow, chased three wide under a ride from the three-eighths marker, tipped three to four wide for home and kicked on belatedly to the finish. GOT STRIPES raced three wide through the first turn, chased three then two wide under encouragement from the three-eighths pole, spun three wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid, then flattened out in the late stages. CAPTCHA got bumped with eight and a half furlongs to run in a chain of bumps begun by MAJESTIC MICHAEL coming inwards, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, continued in the inside route into upper stretch and tired. LAIRD OF MAGNOLIA chased along the inside and then just off the inside under urging from the three-eighths marker, angled five wide for home and made no impact. MCHALE bobbled at the break, then got bumped in the chain of bumps with eight and a half furlongs to go, vied inside a quartet and was eased off one mile from home before taking the two path through the first turn, chased four then three wide thereafter coming under coaxing three furlongs out, angled five to six wide into upper stretch and tired. MAJESTIC MICHAEL coaxed from the gate, came inwards bumping SUSPICIOUSLY NAMED into CAPTCHA and in turn MCHALE with eight and a half furlongs to run, vied between foes briefly before easing off to chase just off the inside through the first turn and then three then two wide down the backstretch, tucked inside into the far turn and was taken hold as HEDGE THE RISK went by near the five-sixteenths, cornered three wide into upper stretch and was eased home to the finish.
