Footnotes
FILM STAR hustled from the gate to the front, showed the way in hand along the inside through the first turn and then just off the inside with six furlongs to go, remained in the two path and faced a challenge from BIG BLUE LINE midway on the far turn, remained patiently handled and was let out spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, edged clear under a drive shying out a bit from a left handed crop a sixteenth out while kept to task. BIG BLUE LINE raced just off the inside through the first turn and then three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch, bid four wide into prominence three furlongs out, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and spun three wide into upper stretch, got shaken off straightened away and ran on to chase the winner home clear of the rest for the place honors. ARTHUR'S RIDE lunged at the break, chased along the inside through the first turn and into the backstretch before tipping to the two path near the nine-sixteenths, remained just off the inside until tipped three to four wide at the five-sixteenths placed to encouragement, continued four wide into upper stretch and weakened while along for the show honors. STRAPPED raced just off the inside through the first turn and then three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch, came under a ride three furlongs out, angled six to seven wide at the head of the stretch and improved position to the finish. TRADEMARK just off the inside through the first turn, chased three wide in closest aim of the leader coming under coaxing nearing the quarter pole, continued three wide into upper stretch and tired. KUCHAR raced three wide through the first turn and then four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked three wide into the far turn and came under a protective hold inside the three-eighths marker, then got pulled up strongly at the quarter pole, got vetted on track and cooled down and was transported off the course via the equine ambulance.
