Footnotes
NORTH END LADY raced three wide through the first turn and then three wide down the backstretch and through the far turn coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, swung six to seven wide into upper stretch, rallied with good energy to seize command inside the three-sixteenths, edged away under a drive and held safe to prevail over a late closing rival. SAIL WITH THE WIND coaxed from the gate, tracked the pace along the inside, got let out continuing in the inside route into upper stretch, paused briefly just inside the three-sixteenths, then ran on willingly to secure the place honors. TONGUE TWISTER coaxed from the start, settled tracking the front just off the inside from mid pack, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled six wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the finish. ROAGNA settled just off the inside near the rear of the field early on, tucked inside into the far turn, came under a ride with five-sixteenths to go, took the inside route into upper stretch and kept on to the wire. BERTRILLE three wide through the first turn, raced three to four wide in aim of the front, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths and advanced on the leader swinging four wide into upper stretch, took over command at the three-sixteenths and shied in immediately under a right handed crop and was taken in hand to be corrected before contact could be made with SECOND CHANCE as the top one took over the front, dug in under a drive and weakened through to the end. ISLAND FOX coaxed from the start, chased along the inside coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, got set down spinning two to three wide into upper stretch, offered no response. BRYANT AND COOPER raced just off the inside through the first turn and then three wide down the backstretch and through the far turn coaxed along from three furlongs out, angled six wide at the top of the stretch, made no late headway. BUNNY HONEY got steadied along the inside in tight with eight and a half furlongs to run, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, angled out five wide into upper stretch and offered no kick. ROYAL BOBBIE got away last to a hesitant start when standing in the gate very briefly as everyone else departed, chased just off the inside at the tail of the field, came under encouragement three furlongs out, tipped four wide at the top of the stretch and had no rally. SECOND CHANCE coaxed from the start, showed the way in hand along the inside patiently handled until set down spinning in the two path into upper stretch, yielded the front near the three-sixteenths then got taken hold of as BERTRILLE shied inwards and tired through to the finish. WIDDERSHINS raced just off the inside early on and was in tight between foes into the first turn with seven and a half furlongs to run, chased two to three wide coming under urging at the seven-sixteenths, went five wide into upper stretch and tired. LADY JASMINE just off the inside through the opening bend, chased two to three wide under encouragement from the five-sixteenths, tipped four wide into upper stretch and tired in the drive.
