ENNIS TOWN was sent hard from the gate, bumped lightly with a foe leaving the chute, dropped from the two path to the rail on the first turn, showed the way down the backstretch, controlled the action while inside on the far turn, responded well when asked coming to the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole and held under strong urging. SALVATION went around the first turn in the four path, was forwardly placed on the outside, came under urging in the three path on the far turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path, pursued the winner in the drive and safely secured the place. IRON SIGHT lunged at the start and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, tugged on the bit while saving ground through the first turn, settled towards the rear, raced inside on the far turn, was roused inside the five-sixteenths pole then moved off the rail outside the quarter-pole, swung out to the five path into upper stretch, drifted out outside the furlong marker then was straightened by the rider and got up for the show. ELKO COUNTY was hustled from the gate, raced in the three path on the first turn, was urged along on the backstretch, went around most of the far turn in the two path, shifted to the three then four path late on that bend, turned into the stretch in the seven path and had nothing left.
