Footnotes
CRESCENDO'S REIN went to the front, set the pace under pressure from both sides, was asked in the two path on the turn, shook off foes under a strong hand-ride in upper stretch, came under one pop of a right-handed crop near the furlong marker, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole then drifted out and held determinedly under strong urging. SOLO JIM tossed his head some just before the break, was off a step slow then bumped hard by a foe and taken up some, spotted the front several lengths, settled well off the pace, gained while saving ground on the turn, came off the rail outside the quarter-pole, angled out in upper stretch and finished well but was too late while up for the place. KEEPINITREAL broke out then bumped very hard with a rival, settled towards the front on the inside, moved off the rail with about five furlongs to run then dropped back some, was roused in the two then three path on the turn, came between horses under a drive in upper stretch, gained to make a bid inside the furlong marker, battled with the winner while carried out some into the final sixteenth and was outfinished then lost the place while clear for the show. ALZERO bumped with a rival at the start, established a good position down the backstretch, chased in the four path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the five path while under the crop, drifted in a touch near the furlong marker then was corrected by the rider with a tug of the right-rein and weakened. GAMEBRED was hustled from the gate then urged along on the outside, angled in late on the backstretch, dropped from the three path to the rail early on the turn, moved back to the two path late on that bend, spun into the stretch in the three path then angled out and lacked the needed response. TWOHONESTMISCHIEF was hustled from the gate, pressed the pace on the inside of the leader, dropped back near the nine-sixteenths pole, saved ground just behind the pacesetter on the turn, was given his cue at the quarter-pole, chased in the two path in upper stretch and tired. SPEIGHTFUL STORM broke in and bumped with a rival, pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path, dropped back into the final furlong and also tired. INONIT bumped with foes on both sides at the start then dropped back while in tight between foes, moved out early under urging, raced well back in the field, shifted from the three path to the six path on the turn, moved inward in upper stretch and failed to respond. LONG POUR bumped with a foe at the start, was urged along off the pace, came out late on the backstretch then exchanged three bumps with a foe, went around the turn in the three to four path, spun into the stretch in the six path then moved further out and came up empty. MISSION HILL was sent hard from the gate, moved out while hard ridden off the pace, was bumped near the half-mile pole then exchanged two more bumps with a foe, dropped from the five path to the three path on the turn and capitulated.
