Footnotes
KHAFRE was hustled to the front, showed the way while well rated in the two path, responded well when asked outside the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, drew off into the final furlong, drifted out from that juncture, was given one final pop of the crop at the sixteenth-pole then was placed under a hand-ride to the finish with his ears pricked to prove much the best. BOLD ENDEAVOR went around the first turn in the four path, was forwardly placed on the outside, came under urging late on the backstretch, chased in the four path on the far turn, pursued the leader under a drive into the final furlong, moved in near the sixteenth-pole and was second best. WINTER'S GHOST bumped with a rival at the start, raced in the three path on the first turn, tracked the pace on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the three path on the far turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, pursued the winner into the final furlong and tired while able to get the show. WILD BANKER broke very fast from the outside post, was caught in the five path on the first turn, raced outside under urging on the backstretch, went around the far turn in the four then three path, came out to the seven path into upper stretch and lacked the needed response. ROYAL TRYST dropped back early, rounded the first turn in the two path, had the rider reach down and adjust his left iron outside the three-quarter pole, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, moved from the rail to the three path on the far turn and failed to threaten. STRONG LIGHT bumped with foes on both sides at the start, angled in at the rear, raced inside for most of the first turn then shifted to the three path behind a foe, settled on the far outside at the rear on the backstretch, dropped from the five path to the inside early on the second turn, saved ground from that point into the stretch and was no factor. TIZ A BEAST had his saddle adjusted behind the gate, was hustled from the gate then urged along early, rounded the first turn in the two path, was well placed towards the front, passed the nine-sixteenths pole under urging, dropped back in the two path on the far turn and retreated. CENTAVO went around the first turn in the three path, was urged along well off the pace, shifted from the rail to the three path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and showed little. AULA bumped with a rival at the start, rounded the first turn in the four path, was urged along on the backstretch, traveled around the far turn in four path, dropped back in the six path into the stretch and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
