SCRATCH IT coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand along the inside, had a trio of rivals issue a challenge with seven-sixteenths to go, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch, edged away under a drive to the eighth pole, dug in and held well to the finish kept to task. CONNECT THE STARS lunged at the break trading a bump with SMART SUGAR, who broke out a step, settled just off the inside in pursuit from mid pack, came under encouragement three furlongs from home, spun three wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick to get up for the place honors in the final strides to the wire. MISS PICKY lunged at the break, raced just off the inside in closest aim of the leader, came under urging with five-sixteenths to go, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under a drive running on to chase the winner home and was along for the show honors. GRAZIE PREGO broke out at the start and was corrected, raced three wide through the first turn, chased three then two wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths pole, swung three to four wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. UNCATCHABLE raced three wide through the first turn, chased three then four wide advancing on the leader put to urging at the seven-sixteenths, went four then three wide through the far turn, angled six then five wide into upper stretch and weakened. BLUE MADAME coaxed from the gate, lugged in soon after the start forcing HURRICANE CREEK to steady just outside one mile to go, tracked along the inside head cocked to the right side past the stands and through the first turn settling just off the pace, came under encouragement with three-eighths to run, angled four wide into upper stretch and tired. HURRICANE CREEK broke a half a beat slow without incident, then got steadied nearing the one mile to run when BLUE MADAME lugged in from the two path, saved ground near the rear of the field, came under coaxing with three furlongs to run, angled out six wide into upper stretch and tired. SMART SUGAR broke out at the start and traded a bump with CONNECT THE STARS, saved ground near the rear of the field, came under coaxing at the three-eighths marker, angled five wide into upper stretch, was under a light ride and then got eased home inside the final eighth to the wire.
