INTRICATE SPIRIT forwardly placed from the start, settled under a firm hold latched on the leader from the outside four paths off the rail applying pressure to the front, went four then three wide through the turn and was given a notch to work with nearing the quarter pole, swung five wide into upper stretch taking over command, edged clear under a drive wandering out three paths to the finish while kept busy to the end. TURF STAR coaxed from the gate, got clipped behind after the start by BRASS NUCKS who was put in tight briefly by FREESTATE coming outwards, chased four then three wide under a ride from three furlongs out, swung five to six wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to secure the place honors. BROOKLYN STYLES coaxed from the gate, chased four then three wide under a ride from three furlongs out, angled six wide into upper stretch and kept on to the finish. MOUNT SOPRIS lunged at the break, then got carried out by FREESTATE, chased three then two wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, angled three to four wide for home and kept on to the end. SUPREME GOOD (IRE) broke in a step at the start, chased just off the inside under urging from the three-eighths marker, went seven wide into upper stretch and improved position to the wire. FREESTATE brushed the near side stall at the start and then came outwards putting both MOUNT SOPRIS and BRASS NUCKS in tight, showed the way in hand three paths off the inside under pressure from a hard held INTRICATE SPIRIT latched on to the outside, came under urging inside the five-sixteenths, got let out three wide into upper stretch and was displaced from command, then weakened through to the finish. EXPRESS LANE struck the off side stall and then bobbled at the break, chased five then four wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, went eight wide at the head of the stretch and tired. BRASS NUCKS got placed in tight just after the start and clipped the back of TURF STAR bobbling and conceding three lengths of position from the break, chased three wide under urging from near the five-sixteenths, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and was unable to make an impact.
