Footnotes
EWING veered in at the start and was off a bit slow, rushed up to get the lead inside the three-quarter pole then went clear, controlled the action while moving from the two path to the three path early on the turn, came out to the four path while given his cue late on that bend, straightened for the drive in the five path, responded well when put to a right-handed crop inside the three-sixteenths pole, drifted out a couple paths inside the furlong marker then was corrected by the rider, shortened stride in the final sixteenth and held under strong urging. OBLITERATION broke fast from the outside post and led early, lost the advantage inside the three-quarter pole then stalked the pace on the outside, raced under a bit of extra left-rein pressure with a loose right-rein while getting out some, lugged out from the five path to the six path on the turn, floated into the stretch in the eighth path, chased the winner on the outside under a strong hand-ride, was put to a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker, gained gradually in the final sixteenth but missed while well clear for the place. CAMIGOL moved out early while hustled, was urged along on the outside, angled in at the nine-sixteenths pole, saved ground on the turn, turned into the stretch in the two path while under the crop and lacked the needed response while able to get third purse money. THUNDER CHUCK veered in at the start, was ridden along off the pace, moved out at the nine-sixteenths pole, dropped from the four path to the three path early on the turn, moved to the two path late on that bend, spun into the stretch in the three path while under the crop and failed to respond.
