Footnotes
MYTHICAL cut the pace three paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn briefly flirting with the rail midway on that bend, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and was roused straightened away, drew off under a drive and held clear to the finish kept to task. MERINGUE veered out at the start and was corrected quickly dropping to the tail of the field, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch until tucked quickly to the two path half a mile from home, tucked inside through the turn, tipped out near the quarter pole and was forced to pause and alter out from the three path to the four path when SPA PROSPECTOR angled out directly in front after the rider took a look back, bumped with ANGEL GIFT sending that foe six wide, offered up a mild kick and was along clear of the rest and second best. SPA PROSPECTOR broke out at the start bumping ANGEL GIFT, chased three then two wide down the backstretch before heading inside through the turn, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, had the rider peek back and tipped out three wide into upper stretch directly in front of MERINGUE forcing that rival to pause and alter out, dug in under a drive and weakened while along for the show honors. TIZ IN SIGHT chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked three wide through the turn coming under urging near the quarter pole, angled eight wide into upper stretch and made no headway. ANGEL GIFT stumbled at the start and was bumped by SPA PROSPECTOR, who broke outwards, raced four then two wide in aim of the leader coming under urging at the five-sixteenths, went to swing four wide and was bumped by MERINGUE six wide as that rival altered due to pressure from SPA PROSPECTOR angling out directly in front of that rival into upper stretch, then tired through to the finish.
