Footnotes
JACKIE THE JOKER stalked the pace on the outside after the pacesetter crossed in front, went around the turn in the three then four path, took the lead near the five-sixteenths pole, shook clear with a quarter-mile to run, drew off under a drive into the final furlong and proved much the best under strong urging. WHISTLER'S STYLE was ridden along on the outside at the rear, dropped from the five path to the four path early on the turn, moved to the three path near the three-eighths pole then went back to the four path later on that bend, turned into the stretch in the six path and finished with good energy for the place. LIKA ROLLING STONE dropped back after the start, was urged along well off the pace, went around the turn in the two path, was driven into the stretch in the three path and finished willingly for the show. FLOGE brushed with a rival at the start, moved out early then was urged along well off the pace, went around the turn in the two then three path, spun into the stretch in the four path, drifted in outside the sixteenth-pole and failed to threaten. FOLLOW YOUR ARROW quickly sped clear then angled in near the three quarter-pole, showed the way down the backstretch, vied inside on the turn, lost the advantage to the winner near the five-sixteenths pole and faded. SISTER SUPREAM was hustled from the gate then ridden along off the pace, came up empty along the rail on the turn and retreated then was eased in the final furlong but walked off. MURSAL brushed with a rival at the start, was guided out early then ridden along on the outside, came up empty in the four then five path on the turn and faltered then was also eased in the final furlong but walked off.
