Footnotes
INDY RAGS was sent hard from the start, tucked into the three path for the run around the first turn, was ridden along while well off the pace on the backstretch, traveled around the far turn in the two then three path, turned into upper stretch under a drive, moved out some while gaining approaching the furlong marker, angled out while closing fast outside the sixteenth-pole, split rivals while storming to the front into the final sixteenth then went clear under a hand-ride late to win with his ears pricked in the end. REACTION went around the first turn in the four path, settled on the outside, was roused in the four path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the six path while under a drive, chased the leader into the final sixteenth then drifted out late and earned the place while no match for the winner. KAVANAUGH brushed with a rival after the start, was taken under a strong hold in the two path on the first turn, established a good position towards the front on the backstretch, chased inside for most of the far turn then shifted to the two path, turned into upper stretch under a strong drive while just behind the leader, pursued that foe into the final sixteenth and was out-kicked but earned the show. CYBERBEAST leaned in and hit the gate at the start, was corrected with a tug of the left-rein after coming out and brushing with a rival just after the break, came out again before the first turn then brushed again with an opponent, dropped to the inside into the first turn, showed the way down the backstretch, moved from the two path to the rail early on the far turn, was asked outside the quarter-pole then came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, drifted out coming to the furlong marker, led under a drive to the sixteenth-pole then was headed by the winner and weakened. OTTO NIPOTI was hustled from the gate, brushed with a foe approaching the first turn, raced in the three path on that bend, tracked the pace on the outside, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, chased in the three path on the far turn, gained under a drive into the stretch, remained on his inside lead until just outside the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead, continued in pursuit of the pacesetter into the final furlong and tired. BELMONT UNION was hustled from the gate then urged along early, lagged at the rear while inside to the two path on the turns and was no factor. DOWN THE LINE broke out and brushed the gate then was hustled, raced inside on the first turn, dropped back entering the backstretch, was through after running a half-mile and retreated then was eased but walked off.
