Footnotes
AYE EYE hit the inside of the gate and was off very slow, dropped well behind the rest of the field, raced inside to the two path under urging on the turn, shifted to the four path while gaining fast outside the quarter-pole, rallied into upper stretch, closed strongly under a right-handed crop into the final furlong, angled in outside the sixteenth-pole and finished powerfully to get up and win going away in a sparkling debut. BOD BEACH bumped hard with a rival at the start, showed speed then pressed the pace, chased in the three path on the turn, pursued the leader under a drive into the final furlong, gained to make a bid outside the sixteenth-pole and earned the place while overtaken by the winner. ESCAPE HALL broke in and was off a step slow, moved up on the inside to get the lead then set the pace, vied in the two path with a solo advantage on the turn, responded well when asked approaching the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop nearing the furlong marker, was switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole, led into the final sixteenth but was overtaken then missed the place but earned the show. JOLTED brushed the inside of the gate at the start, showed speed then chased the pace on the outside, went around the turn in the four then five path, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed kick. TACTICS broke out at the start, dropped back while ridden along on the outside, moved from the four path to the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and failed to threaten. FUNNY FACTOR broke in and bumped hard with a rival, showed speed then chased the pace, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the four path and tired. HOOSICK FALLS bumped hard with rivals on both sides at the start, was urged along off the pace, moved out near the nine-sixteenths pole, traveled around the turn in the four path, moved in some at the quarter-pole and came up empty. EMPIRES KING lunged a bit at the start, dropped back while urged along, moved from the three path to the rail early on the turn, saved ground from that point into the stretch and failed to respond.
