Footnotes
SALAMIS a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, saved ground in pursuit from mid pack patiently handled until set down spinning from the two path into upper stretch, tipped out a path with three-sixteenths to go and rallied with a good kick to collar the top pair in the final jumps to the finish. PERRETTI (IRE) a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, showed the way in hand along the inside patiently handled until let out taking the two path into upper stretch, dug in fending off DISCLAIMER through the length of the stretch, then got caught in the final jumps to the wire. DISCLAIMER broke in brushing the near side stall at the start, raced forwardly placed three wide through the first turn before tucking to the two path into the backstretch, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive latched on the aforementioned foe through to the finish fighting on to the end but could not go by. BLAST FURNACE three then two wide through the first turn, chased just off the inside coming under urging near the quarter pole, angled six wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild kick. APALTA struck the near side stall at the start, chased along the inside coming under encouragement nearing the quarter pole, went three to four wide into upper stretch and weakened. ROYAL PRESENCE settled just off the inside in pursuit from near the rear of the field, came under a ride at the five-sixteenths, spun three wide at the head of the stretch, weakened in the drive. THE HERO CODE brushed the off side stall at the start, chased three wide coming under urging with five-sixteenths to go, swung four wide for home and weakened in the stretch. PRARIEDALE got taken in hand at the start briefly when DISCLAIMER broke inwards and was away last, grew detached at the tail of the field chasing along the rail, was approaching the seven-sixteenths when continuing to lose ground and was guided outside into the far turn under a protective hold and was eased up before being pulled up in the vicinity of the three-eighths marker, then got vetted and transported off the course via the equine ambulance.
