CARMEL COAST broke in at the start under hustling, advanced to take over the front six furlongs from home and showed the way four paths off the inside down the backstretch, continued four wide through the turn and into upper stretch and was set down at that juncture, drew off under a drive and was geared down inside the final sixteenth to the finish to prevail comfortably on the wire.
