Footnotes
THE CRAFTSMAN was well placed just off the pace in the two path, drafted behind the leaders on the far turn, turned into upper stretch behind those foes when asked while finding a seam near the three-sixteenths pole, rallied to make a bid near the furlong marker, fought with the runner-up to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. ROSSBEIGH was caught in the five path into the first turn then dropped in, reached the two path later on that bend, was reserved near the middle of the field, shifted from the rail to the three path while roused on the far turn, swung out to the five path into the stretch, rallied outside to get the lead outside the sixteenth-pole, swapped back to his inside lead into the final sixteenth, fought with the winner to the finish and was denied while just able to get the place. SPIRIT OF THE LAW angled in towards the rear early, moved from the three path to the two path early on the first turn, was unhurried towards the back, raced in the three path for most of the far turn then shifted to the five path while roused, spun into the stretch in the six path then moved further out, rallied outside into the final furlong and closed with a rush to just miss while able to get the show. ARCH'S ASSAULT was taken in hand early, moved from the three path to the four path early on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside under a snug hold, rounded the far turn in the three path while let out, spun into the stretch in the four path then made a bid, battled on even terms for the lead into the final furlong, vied between foes into the final sixteenth then steadied and lost the trifecta. MAKEYOURMOMENT raced in the three path on the first turn, prompted the pace on the outside, vied in the two path on the far turn, passed the five-sixteenths on even terms for the lead, took a narrow advantage under a drive in upper stretch, fought on well into the final furlong, was headed outside the sixteenth-pole and outfinished. POWERED BY COAL broke in and bumped hard with a foe, raced in the two path on the first turn, settled in the back half of the field, was roused in the two path on the far turn, came out to the four path into upper stretch and gained some but missed the minor awards. SUNSHINE DANCER broke a bit slow, angled in towards the back, dropped from the two path to the rail into the first turn, settled off the pace, moved from the three path to the five path while roused on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the six path while getting closer, held a good striking position into the final furlong but lacked the needed kick. RAGAZZO D'ORO was bumped hard at the start then checked, tossed his head while saving ground on the first turn, was reserved near the back while saving ground, came under urging on the far turn, angled out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. PRETRIAL STATEMENT became rank under restraint early then was taken up into the first turn, saved ground while continuing to tug rankly on the bit through the that bend, was rated off the pace, drafted inside on the far turn, steadied while blocked at the three-sixteenths pole, moved off the rail outside the furlong marker and lacked the needed response. CLASSIC MARTINI dropped from the four path to the three path early on the first turn, settled on the outside, was roused in the three then four path on the far turn and failed to rally. BIG BROWN DELIVERS went to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked under heavy pressure on the far turn, lost the advantage in upper stretch and gave way then pulled up in heat-distress after the race.
