SAGAMORE MISCHIEF got bumped between foes at the start who each broke his way, showed the way in hand along the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, swung three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a left handed crop and herded out his main rival brushing with that foe a furlong out, fought head to head to the finish being pulled off his main danger near the sixteenth pole, had that rival come in to close the gap once more and traded two minor bumps, then herded out that rival slightly nearest the finish and gamely prevailed on the wire. BRESLAU broke in at the start bumping the aforementioned foe in concert with CONCORDE SPIRIT, chased just off the inside coming under a ride near the quarter pole, swung four wide into upper stretch getting on near even terms, dug in under a drive and was herded out a path and brushed at the eighth pole, had SAGAMORE MISCHIEF get pulled off of him and came in to be shoulder to shoulder once more trading a pair of bumps seventy yards from the finish, then got herded out slightly near the wire and was denied on the line. CALL ME FAST chased just off the inside coming under encouragement at the three-eighths marker, angled four wide into upper stretch, weakened. BIG GAIN bobbled at the break, chased four wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, angled six wide into upper stretch, tired. CONCORDE SPIRIT broke out at the start bumping SAGAMORE MISCHIEF in tandem with BRESLAU, chased three wide under urging from three furlongs out, angled five wide for home and tired. FROMANOTHAMUTHA broke out at the start, chased along the inside under a ride from midway on the turn, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch in retreat, tired in the drive. There was an objection lodged by the trainer of BRESLAU alleging interference against SAGAMORE MISCHIEF into the stretch run. After review, the objection was dismissed and the result was allowed to stand prior to the race being declared official.
