Footnotes
TRAIL OF GOLD broke a step slow, went around the first turn in the two path, settled at the rear, was roused in the two path on the far turn, swung out to the five path into the stretch then commenced a rally while remaining on her inside lead, swapped to the proper lead while gaining at the furlong marker and closed strongly to get up in the final sixteenth and prevail. NONNA LYNNE tucked in on the opening straightaway, was reserved on the outside in the two path but with cover, remained in the two path through the far turn, was roused outside the quarter-pole, spun into the stretch in the four path, chased the leader into the final furlong, made a bid between horses outside the sixteenth-pole but was outfinished while just able to get the place. HANGOVER HEAVEN hit the inside of the gate and was off a step slow, moved up to establish a forward position, dropped from the three path to the two path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, engaged the leader while in the two to three path on the far turn, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, took the advantage in the four path into upper stretch, inched away inside the three-sixteenths pole then was put to a right-handed crop, led into the final sixteenth but was overtaken then just missed the place while able to get the show. DISCO STAR leaned in and brushed the inside of the gate at the start, settled on the inside, was roused in the three path into the stretch, chased under a drive into the final furlong, gained to make a bid near the sixteenth-pole but was out-kicked and missed the trifecta. BOSTON'S PHINEST became rank under restraint nearing the first turn then was taken up, continued very rank while inside to the two path and tossed her head on that bend, was rated just off the pace, saved ground while let out on the far turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, checked off heels in upper stretch, altered out to the two path outside the sixteenth-pole and lacked the needed response in a tough trip. BLOSSOMING ERUDITE went to the front then opened a clear advantage early, moved from the two path to the rail on the first turn, came back off the rail entering the backstretch, was well rated while setting the pace, vied inside while asked on the far turn, lost the advantage in the two path into upper stretch and gave way.
