Footnotes
OUR STARRY NIGHT coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand along the inside under pressure from LOUGH CURRANE to the outside, got let out taking the inside route into upper stretch, edged clear under a drive to the eighth pole, dug in and held clear to prevail. CUANDO chased three wide coming under a ride at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, had the rider lose the handle on his crop to the right side just inside the eighth pole, offered up a mild kick. HELLACIOUS chased just off the inside patiently handled until set down spinning three to four wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick to secure the show honors in the late stages. IN THE DARK chased along the inside, got steadied just inside the five-sixteenths and then near the quarter pole when placed lightly in tight, spun just off the inside into upper stretch roused for the drive, offered up a mild bid. EXTRAORDINARY ONE (GB) broke out a step at the start under coaxing, chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild bid kicking on belatedly to the finish but was outfinished in the late stages. LEADING ROLE coaxed from the gate, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from the three-eighths marker, took the inside route into upper stretch and weakened. LOUGH CURRANE got away to well timed start when lunging forward just as the latch was sprung and was immediately on top, settled prompting the leader from the outside three then two wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, got set down spinning three wide for home and tired.
