Footnotes
GEORGE BRIGGS got bumped and leaned on by RIVER OF TIME due to pressure from BUTTAH coming outwards and in turn forced CAST A COIN to steady when pinched out and made contact with I'M DUE, chased three wide through the first bend before tipping out to be four paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked to the two path through the far turn and came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, floated out seven wide into upper stretch carrying out MOE EIGHTY EIGHT eight wide, dug in under a drive issuing a challenge through the final furlong and was up in the last jumps to the wire. BUTTAH hustled from the gate, came out bumping RIVER OF TIME into GEORGE BRIGGS and in turn I'M DUE which forced CAST A COIN to steady when pinched between foes and MOE EIGHTY EIGHT to alter out a path or two, showed the way in hand along the inside, came under encouragement at the three-eighths pole, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive, came out to get a look at his main danger and was caught in the final strides to the finish. MOE EIGHTY EIGHT altered out one to two paths when rivals inside got bumped and leaned on by the leader BUTTAH, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the far turn coming under urging at the five-sixteenths, got carried out eight wide when latched on the outside of GEORGE BRIGGS into upper stretch, ran on under a drive to secure the show honors, well clear of the rest. CAST A COIN got steadied when pinched between foes with seven and a half furlongs to run, chased along the inside and then two to three wide through the far turn coming under a ride at the three-eighths, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch and passed tired rivals to the end. I'M DUE got bumped with seven a half a furlongs out by GEORGE BRIGGS in a chain of bumps begun by BUTTAH, chased along the inside ridden along from three furlongs out, cut the corner into upper stretch and tired. RIVER OF TIME got bumped and leaned on and carried out two to three paths by BUTTAH with seven and a half furlongs to run and in turn bumped and leaned on GEORGE BRIGGS which forced CAST A COIN to steady when pinched out as I'M DUE took the brunt of the bump from GEORGE BRIGGS and MORE EIGHTY EIGHT altered out a path or two to avoid any contact, chased just off the inside coming under encouragement at the half mile pole, swung four to five wide into upper stretch in retreat, faltered, and was eased home to the end.
