Footnotes
BRIT'S WIT broke out at the start carrying out his two rivals a path or two before being pulled off, led briefly until headed for the front by the runner up with six and a half furlongs to run, chased just off the inside until tucked inside half a mile from home, came under light coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, tipped out three wide into upper stretch nudging HEDGE THE RISK to the four path, rallied to take command just inside the eighth pole, then appeared to not want to shake clear of FINAL DENILE when pricking his ears and waiting on his rival while kept to task to the finish. FINAL DENILE got carried out at the start by the aforementioned foe and in turn carried out HEDGE THE RISK, established the front with six and a half furlongs to run and showed the way in hand three paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coming under coaxing at the three-eighths marker, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught just inside the eighth pole, ran on to the wire. HEDGE THE RISK got carried out at the start by FINAL DENILE due to pressure from BRIT'S WIT, chased four then three wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, got nudged four wide into upper stretch when BRIT'S WIT tipped out at that juncture, then weakened through to the end.
