COMMUTED brushed the off side stall at the start, showed the way in hand just off the inside coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, angled four wide into upper stretch, edged clear under a drive to the eighth pole, dug in and held safe to prevail. DREAMLIKE bobbled at the break, raced three wide through the first turn, chased five then four paths off the inside down the backstretch and advanced on the leader inside the nine-sixteenths before tucking three wide through the far turn, came under urging near the quarter pole and went five wide at that station before coming out two paths straightened away under a left handed crop, offered up a mild kick angling in nearing the sixteenth pole and was along well clear of the rest and second best. RULEROFTHEUNIVERSE four then three wide in closest aim of the leader, lost position to the tail of the field inside the nine-sixteenths, went three wide through the far turn coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, went six wide into upper stretch, tipped out two additional paths as DREAMLIKE came outwards in front and was not persevered with through to the finish while tapped on the right shoulder with the crop intermittently to the wire. INCANTATION coaxed from the gate, chased two to three wide except when briefly tucked to the rail near the half mile pole, came under a ride at the three-eighths marker, continued two to three wide into upper stretch and tired.
