BABY SASSICAIA was bumped soundly at the start, went around the first turn in the two then three path, followed the solo leader from second, moved closer late on the backstretch, made a bid in the three path on the far turn, took the lead at the top of the stretch, kicked clear near the three-sixteenths pole and drew away under strong urging. SHEER WILL was hustled from the gate, raced inside on the first turn, showed the way with a clear advantage, went around the far turn in the two path while challenged by the runner-up, was given her cue outside the quarter-pole, lost the advantage at the top of the stretch and proved no match for the winner while clear for the place.
