Footnotes
HEY COOKIE broke out at the start, went to the front then set the pace on the outside under some pressure, moved clear leaving the backstretch, dictated terms in the two path on the turn, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole, came under a left-handed crop in upper stretch and held under strong urging. GOLDEN IRISH was bumped at the start and forced out strongly into another foe then squeezed back, settled at the rear, dropped further behind leaving the backstretch, was roused while inside on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, swung out to the six path into the stretch and finished willingly for the place. SPUN SIZE was bumped in the hindquarters just after the start, raced towards the front while rated, dropped back while shuffled behind VOLATILE MARKET early on the turn, was roused while moving to the two path near the five-sixteenths pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response while just able to get the show. THAT'S FUNNY was urged along off the pace, moved out near the nine-sixteenths pole, chased in the three then four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under the crop, pursued the vanguard into the final furlong, brushed with a foe while dropping back near the sixteenth-pole and weakened then just missed the show. CIRCUIT COURT bobbled at the start, tracked the pace on the outside, was given her cue while in the four then three path on the turn, chased under a drive into the final furlong, brushed with an opponent while dropping back at the sixteenth-pole and tired. VOLATILE MARKET bumped with a rival in the hindquarters at the start, pressed the pace on the inside of a foe, dropped back leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn and capitulated. ROYAL EVENT broke in and bumped with a foe, was well placed just off the pace, dropped back leaving the backstretch, was urged along in the two path for most of the turn then shifted to the three path, spun into the stretch in the six path and had nothing left.
