Footnotes
WILL NOT BE SWAYED spun out a bit rank into the first turn three wide forcing a trio of rivals out into the first turn four and five wide, settled three wide in pursuit from mid pack, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command just inside the sixteenth marker, then edged clear to the finish kept busy to the end. PROUD MARY established the front after the start and showed the way just off the inside and then along the inside spurting away eager in the early going, continued to widen away down the backstretch, had the field steadily take closer order through the far turn and was roused cutting the corner into upper stretch, dug in under a drive clear to the eighth pole but under growing threat, got collared just inside the sixteenth pole, dug in and preserved the place honors on the wire from a late closing rival. STARLIGHT DANCER got bumped at the start by SILENT MELODY, who broke inwards, was at the tail of the field early on and saved ground moving up to be in pursuit from mid pack, came under coaxing near the five-sixteenths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, paused briefly inside the eighth pole, then surged late to just miss for the place honors. LADY RIVER LILY lunged at the break, tracked the pace along the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch, dug in under a drive and ran on through to the finish. SILENT MELODY broke in at the start bumping STARLIGHT DANCER, got spun four wide into the first turn by WILL NOT BE SWAYED and carried out two other foes as well, continued four then three wide through that first turn and then chased four then three wide thereafter, came under coaxing near the quarter pole, went three to four wide for home, paused very briefly and altered out slightly a furlong out and improved position to the end. RIVER TAY (IRE) settled just off the inside near the rear of the field and then tucked inside midway down the backstretch, came under coaxing nearing the quarter pole and took the inside route into upper stretch, tipped out straightened away, paused and altered around the falling rival just inside the eighth pole, then made no late headway. ALETTE D'ORO got spun four to five wide into the first turn when WILL NOT BE SWAYED grew rank to his inside into that turn, settled tracking from just off the pace three then two wide, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung four wide for home and tired. BOXED WINE got spun out four to five wide into the first turn, chased three then two wide coming under a ride near the five-sixteenths, angled five to six wide into upper stretch and made no impact. ROCK HARBOR hustled from the gate, tracked the spurting away leader in closest aim along the inside, came under urging with five-sixteenths to go isolated between the leader and the rest of the field, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive, had the rider pause when his charge switched leads twice in quick succession, then fell just inside the eighth pole, got vetted and attended to on the course and was transported off the course via the equine ambulance. BUNNY HONEY forwardly placed three then two wide, tracked the leader just off the inside and then along the inside, got placed to a protective hold when losing her action near the seven-sixteenths and backed away through the field delicately, then got eased up before being pulled up in the vicinity of the five-sixteenths pole, got vetted and attended to on track and was walked to the main track and transported off the track via the equine ambulance.
