Footnotes
FUTURE IS NOW broke out at the start, stalked the pace on the outside, dropped from the four path to the three path on the turn, made a bid outside the quarter-pole, took the lead while set down in upper stretch, shook clear under a strong hand-ride into the final furlong, swapped back to her inside lead when given one pop of a right-handed crop into the final sixteenth and prevailed under a hand-ride from that point to the finish. DONTLOOKBACKATALL stumbled at the start, was reserved off the pace then moved in, advanced closer late on the backstretch, ranged up along the rail on the turn, swung out to the four path into upper stretch, pursued the winner in the drive and finished with good courage for the place. ELLEN JAY was bumped at the start and forced out then steadied in tight quarters, raced towards the back under restraint, steadied between foes passing the half-mile pole, tossed her head in the two path early on the turn, dropped to the rail late on that bend, was asked for her best in upper stretch, moved out near the furlong marker and finished willingly for the show. RISK THRESHOLD (IRE) stumbled outward at the start then bumped with a foe, moved up to get the lead inside the five-eighths pole, dropped from the two path to the rail under extra left-rein pressure on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch and weakened. OUT TOO LATE (GB) settled on the outside, tucked into the three path leaving the backstretch, moved to the four path late on that bend, spun into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. TWIRLING QUEEN showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three then two path on the turn, dropped back a bit passing the five-sixteenths pole, steadied briefly outside the quarter-pole, remained on her inside lead in upper stretch and weakened. SUNDAY GIRL settled under some urging, went around the turn in the three path, spun into the stretch in the four path, dropped in near the three-sixteenths then moved back out around a rival and failed to threaten. BENEDETTA was bumped at the start and forced out, established a good position just off the pace, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, was pulled up by the rider outside the furlong marker and walked off the turf course before being transported off the track via equine ambulance.
