Footnotes
NITROGEN broke out and bumped with a foe, tipped outside the leader when that foe crossed in front early, moved out in the track nearing the first turn, rounded that bend in the four then three path, stalked the pace on the outside while well outside the leader, turned up the pressure in the three path on the far turn, gained the advantage outside the quarter-pole, shook clear while set down into upper stretch, drifted out inside the three-sixteenths pole then was put to a right-handed crop, came inward near the furlong marker, drifted back out around the sixteenth-pole and held under steady urging. GOOD CHEER was taken in hand early, traveled around the first turn in the three path, settled comfortably in third position, was asked leaving the backstretch, chased in the four then three path on the far turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path, pursued the winner under a drive into the final furlong, moved in late and finished willingly for the place. MARGIE'S INTENTION moved from the rail to the two path on the first turn, was reserved off the pace, came under urging in the two path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the three path then shifted much further out, dropped in outside the sixteenth-pole and lacked the needed response while clear for the show. LA CARA broke alertly from the outside post, angled in while going to the front, was well rated while setting the pace on the inside, came under urging under threat at the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to the winner outside the quarter-pole, dropped back under a drive in upper stretch and tired. QUEEN AZTECA was bumped at the start and forced out, went around the first turn in the four then three path, settled well off the pace, was urged along while dropping from the three path to the rail on the far turn and was no factor. KINZIE QUEEN broke in and hit the gate, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled at the rear, was coaxed along passing the five-eighths pole, saved ground for most of the far turn then shifted to the two path and failed to respond.
