Footnotes
COURTLY BANKER settled under some urging, moved in while getting closer late on the backstretch, drafted inside for most of the turn then was asked while moving to the two path, rallied to the lead in upper stretch and drew away under strong urging to prove much the best. ALAN TURING broke near the back of the field, settled at the rear, moved from the rail to the two path while under intermittent urging on the turn, was roused for his best into upper stretch, brushed with a foe inside the three-sixteenths pole, squeezed through inside of a rival into the final furlong and finished with good courage to just get the place. SPOKEN BLUNTLY was hustled to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied along the rail while asked on the turn, spun off the inside into the stretch, lost the advantage near the three-sixteenths pole and proved no match for the winner then was caught for the place while able to hold the show. STORMY BIRTHDAY bumped lightly with a foe at the start then was hustled, steadied while squeezed back outside the five-eighths pole, moved from the rail to the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, swapped back to his inside lead outside the sixteenth-pole and finished willingly for the last spot in the superfecta. ON THE LEDGE broke out then was hustled, chased the pace down the backstretch, traveled around the turn in the three path, floated out to the six path into upper stretch and weakened. SIR KARTRITE broke a step slow, settled towards the rear, went around the turn in the two path, was asked for his best in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. SCARAMANGA chased the pace on the far outside, dropped from the five path to to the four path early on the turn, moved back to the five path late on that bend then spun into the stretch in the six path and also weakened. PAY THE JUICE stumbled at the start but broke with the body of the field, settled towards the rear on the outside under some urging, went around the turn in the four then three path, turned into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. BUSTIN AWAY broke out a bit at the start, tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the four then three path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and tired. NOT FOR HIRE made light contact with a foe at the start then was hustled, pressed the pace on the outside of the leader, vied in the two path on the turn, dropped back while moving to the three path briefly late on that bend then dropped back to the two path, brushed with a foe while retreating in upper stretch and capitulated.
