Footnotes
BOBROVSKY coaxed from the gate, chased just off the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, rallied to collar the leader a sixteenth from home, then edged clear to the finish to score. MONSTER broke directly to the front and showed the way in hand along the inside and then just off the inside, got let out spinning from the two path into upper stretch, dug in under lone threat to the outside, got caught a sixteenth from home, ran on clear for the place honors. SPIRIT OF NEW YORK brushed the near side stall at the start, chased two to three wide coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, kept on to procure the show honors. TOUGH CRITIC broke in striking the off side stall at the start, the rider losing balance momentarily, bumped with MALUS just after, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, tipped four wide into upper stretch, tired. MALUS got bumped at the start by TOUGH CRITIC, who broke outwards, chased two to three wide coming under urging at the three-eighths marker, spun three wide into upper stretch, was under a light drive when bobbling near the sixteenth pole, got placed to a protective hold and was guided outside, then got pulled up after the finish, was vetted, walked to the main track and was transported off that course via the equine ambulance.
