Footnotes
ZIPPY MARK was sent hard from the gate, moved up to get the lead before the three-quarter pole then showed the way, dropped from the three path to the two path very early on the turn, was coaxed along off the rail on that bend, came under stronger encouragement approaching the quarter-pole, responded well when put to a right-handed crop in upper stretch and held under strong urging. TRUST ISSUES broke out but towards the front, led early then was eased back just off the pace, drafted in the two path on the turn, was given his cue at the quarter-pole, chased the winner in the stretch and finished willingly for the place. TYPHOON FURY was hustled from the gate then showed speed on the outside, dropped from the five path to the three path early on the turn, was asked outside the quarter-pole, came under the crop in upper stretch, lost touch with the winner near the eighth-pole, chased in the final furlong and weakened while clear for the show. SHOOT THE NICKEL stumbled at the start and broke at the back, tracked the pace on the outside, moved in some outside the half-mile pole, was asked in the four path on the turn, chased under a drive into the final furlong and tired. GO IRISH had his saddle adjusted behind the gate, settled off the pace, moved out outside the nine-sixteenths pole, dropped from the five path to the four path early on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. ROAR READY leaned out at the start and brushed the gate, settled at the rear of the field, saved ground on the turn, turned into the stretch in the two path then moved further out, shifted out more around the sixteenth-pole and was no factor. PLAUSIBLE DENILE was coaxed along off the pace, moved from the rail to the three path while put to stronger encouragement on the turn and came up empty.
