SCOPE coaxed from the gate, tracked along the inside through the first turn and then just off the inside down the backstretch taking up cover behind his barn mate, tucked inside into the far turn and was placed to coaxing at the three-eighths marker, took the inside route into upper stretch, tipped out to the three path nudging DYNADEE at the three-sixteenths, rallied to latch on the leader TELEPORT a furlong out, got bumped solidly by that rival coming out under a left handed crop and continued under a drive despite it, was put to a right handed crop and came in bumping TELEPORT solidly inside the sixteenth marker, then inched away to the finish to prevail. TELEPORT (IRE) established the front and was under a light hold showing the way just off the inside and then along the inside through the first turn, tipped back to the two path down the backstretch settled into a comfortable rhythm through dawdling splits, remained on hold until roused spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat a furlong out and came out under a left handed crop to bump his main danger solidly inside the eighth pole, got collared a sixteenth out and was immediately bumped by SCOPE coming inwards under a right handed crop, the rider pausing briefly, then ran on to the finish safe for the place honors. HONEY'S TO BLAME raced three wide through the first turn, tracked the front four then three wide coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild bid. DYNADEE attended the leader latched on from the outside two to three wide applying no pressure save through his presence until given a notch to work with three furlongs out, came under urging with five-sixteenths to go, spun three wide into upper stretch, got brushed and nudged out at the three-sixteenths when SCOPE tipped out from along his inside, then weakened through to the wire. GUITARIST coaxed lightly from the gate, settled two to three wide at the tail of the compact field, came under encouragement three furlongs out, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, offered no kick and was eased home through the final furlong to the end. There was a Stewards' Inquiry as well as a claim of foul by the rider of TELEPORT alleging interference against SCOPE in the stretch. After review, it was deemed that SCOPE had interfered with TELEPORT and SCOPE was disqualified from first and placed second prior to the race being declared official.
