JOHN'S PROMISE tracked the pace and was in the three path on the turn, ranged up and came four wide into the lane to make a bid to hit the front by the furlong marker and shake clear by the sixteenth marker and then held on late to prevail under a drive. AMERICAN WARRIOR was settled early on the outside, four to five wide on the turn, came widest into the lane and closed fast late to just miss. COURT AND SPARK pressed the pace and made a three wide bid on the turn to duel for command, then battled on but faded late while besting the rest. DESANTIS was settled early, three to four wide on the turn, came six wide into the lane but had no punch in the final furlong. NICHIREN set a pressured pace on the inside, then dueled for the lead on the inside on the turn and came two wide off the bend and weakened in the final furlong. EE YAH was off a step slow, settled back early, saved ground on the turn, cut the corner leaving the turn and had some gain but needed more late. GRIMES was reserved on the inside, two to three wide on the turn, came three wide off the bend and then moved in and needed a rally. SOVEREIGN OF SPEED chased the early pace from the inside, eased out on the turn and came four wide into the lane and had no rally.
