WHISKEY OR WINE settled just off of the early pace and was well placed into the first turn, tracked the modest pace from outside of runners through the backstretch run, loomed three to four wide into the far turn, vied for the lead then took command into upper stretch, shook free at the furlong marker, kept to task into the final sixteenth and drew away under firm hand urging in deep stretch. ETERNAL GLORY hustled away from the start, vied for the early lead from between rivals, assumed command into the first turn, set modest fractions through the backstretch run, came under pressure at the quarter marker, was overtaken by WHISKEY OR WINE into upper stretch and chased that foe to the furlong grounds, could not match strides with the winner late and was a clear second at the finish. BIVOL settled outside of rivals into the first turn, unhurried while never far back through the backstretch run, chased two wide into the second turn, made a steady advance into upper stretch, could not impact the top pair into the stretch drive, closed into the final sixteenth and was clear in the end for the show honors. ICONIC ROCK broke alertly and vied for the early lead, ceded to ETERNAL GLORY and stalked the modest pace from outside of that rival into the backstretch run, attended to the pace nearing the half-mile marker, vied two to three wide and between rivals into the far turn, lost position into upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. ASAASY forwardly placed early, tracked the pace two wide into the first turn, well placed into the backstretch run, saved ground to the far turn and chased the leaders nearing the quarter marker, angled four wide into upper stretch, could not muster the needed response in the drive and gave way. PRINCE OF HEARTS allowed to settle, saved ground through the backstretch run and into the far turn, lacked a response at the quarter pole and did not factor in the stretch. CLASS OF SIXTY TWO allowed to settle early on while never far back, pulled between runners into the backstretch and raced close to the modest pace nearing the half-mile pole, chased two to three wide into the far turn, could not keep pace into the stretch and came up empty in the drive.
