Footnotes
LIFE IS PRECIOUS settled in the early stages while never far back, tracked the decent pace from outside of runners heading to the half-mile pole, bid four wide into the turn, vied for the lead at the quarter marker then took command into the stretch, kept to task through the lane, held sway to the final sixteenth and edged clear in deep stretch. OSPREY settled just off of the decent early pace, tracked from between runners approaching the half-mile pole, mounted a three wide bid between rivals into the turn, was outkicked by LIFE IS PRECIOUS into upper stretch and chased that foe to the furlong grounds, could not make headway on the winner into the final sixteenth and just held for the place honors at the wire. GOOD MONEY settled in the second flight to begin while never far back, tracked the decent pace from between runners then was shuffled back leaving the half-mile pole, took to the outside and went three to four wide nearing the quarter marker, re-rallied into the stretch, could not reel in the winner into the final sixteenth and just missed for second, while holding clearly for third. PROTEGE prominent away from the start, attended to the decent early pace outside of GRAN YACO, pressed the pace into the turn, vied for the lead two wide and between rivals nearing the quarter marker, battled into upper stretch, was outkicked at the furlong grounds and yielded to the top three in the final sixteenth. GRAN YACO showed speed away from the start and assumed early command, set decent fractions while pressured to the half-mile marker, led into the turn, got caught in tight nearing the quarter marker and steadied at that station, was overtaken into upper stretch and faded in the drive. SILVER STYLE tracked the decent pace from between runners, lost position into the turn and chased two wide and between foes nearing the quarter pole, weakened into the stretch drive and could not find the needed late response. CINCO DE MO ducked in at the start and was away slowly, rushed up and chased the decent pace heading to the half-mile pole, was well placed while saving ground to the turn, lost position nearing the quarter marker and tired in the stretch drive. THE RIDER OF GRAN YACO LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST THE RIDERS OF PROTEGE AND OSPREY FOR INTERFERENCE ON THE TURN. THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED THE OBJECTION AND RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH.
