GHOST STALKER prominent leaving the start, engaged with MAKIZAN in the early going and prompted the decent pace outside of that rival, attended to the pace through the backstretch run then pressed MAKIZAN into the far turn, vied for the lead into upper stretch and battled the stubborn MAKIZAN to the furlong grounds, took a narrow lead into the final sixteenth, dug in in deep stretch and lasted at the finish for a determined win. OFF THE MEDS forwardly placed away from the start, tracked the pace three wide to the first turn, well placed along the backstretch run, stalked the decent pace to the half-mile pole, mounted a three wide bid into the second turn, loomed into upper stretch, responded to urging and rallied into the final sixteenth, could not get by the determined winner in deep stretch and just missed at the wire, while besting the rest. MAKIZAN broke alertly and assumed early command, set the pace from the inside into the first turn, carved out moderate fractions while prompted by GHOST STALKER along the backstretch run, led into the second turn and battled GHOST STALKER into upper stretch, fought stubbornly to the final sixteenth, was outfinished by the top pair in deep stretch and was well clear of the rest for third. KING RAMOS close up in the early stages, saved ground into the first turn, well placed into the backstretch run, shifted outside of rivals nearing the half-mile pole, bid four wide into the far turn, could not sustain his run into the stretch and weakened in the stretch drive. BURNING MAN unhurried away from the start, saved ground into the first turn, content to trail through the backstretch run, chased two to three wide to the second turn, finished evenly in the stretch drive and passed tired rivals in the late stages. RUNNING RIGHT BY U was squeezed at the start and away a bit slowly from the gate, settled two wide and between rivals into the first turn, never far back through the backstretch run, saved ground to the second turn and chased to the quarter marker, could not muster the needed response in the lane and flattened out in the final furlong. SHAKEM N BREAKEM was unhurried while four to five wide into the first turn, tracked the moderate pace from between runners through the backstretch, bid three wide into the second turn, could not sustain that run into the stretch and faltered in the drive. SEVENTY SEVENTYCAT allowed to settle while never far back early on, tracked between rivals through the backstretch run, chased three to four wide to the second turn and did not factor in the stretch drive. CRAFTY KING settled in the second flight to begin, raced three to four wide into the first turn, tracked the moderate pace outside of rivals along the backstretch run, chased from the outside to the second turn, came five wide into the stretch and did not threaten late. VILLAGE PREACHER a bit slow away from the start, settled into the first turn, saved ground through the backstretch run, outrun to the second turn, was eased through the stretch drive and walked off under his own power.
