Footnotes
WILLIE BIRD set the pace while in hand and in the two path, sent down leaving the three sixteenths and given one pop right handed with the crop leaving the furlong marker and responded well to draw out and then was ridden out the final sixteenth to prove best. EL PRINCIPITO was off slow and lost an iron briefly, after getting boot back in moved out and advanced on the outside, tracked the leaders four wide on the turn and came four wide into the lane and finished willingly to be clearly second best. SAYBROOK prompted the winner to his outside and three wide on the turn and then was roused leaving the quarter pole to try to keep pace but faded in the drive while besting the rest. CANTARO chased the pace on the inside and lacked the needed bid. SAM STORMY chased the pace and was two wide on the turn and swung out five wide leaving the turn and weakened. DEFIANT MALICE showed speed four wide for a quarter of a mile and stopped.
